SeaGeneration (Wales) Ltd, a development company set up Marine Current Turbines (MCT) and RWE npower renewables, is proposing to develop a tidal stream array at a site off the north west coast of Anglesey referred to as the Skerries.

MCT are recognised as being one of the world's leading tidal energy system developers having developed the SeaGen tidal energy converter, the first of which was installed in Strangford Lough in April 2008. More details on MCT and SeaGen can be found at Marine Current Turbines and Sea Generation.

Sea Generation Ltd is wholly owned by MCT, which itself is wholly owned Siemens AG and forms part of the Ocean & Hydro Business.
